I am currently offering free book-reading sessions of the first book in my phonics-focussed series (‘Sammy and Susie Visit the Seaside’) to all the children’s nurseries in the Adur District of West Sussex (and beyond), which is where I live in the UK.
My main aims are:
I read to groups of approximately 6 children (aged between 2 and 4 years old) at a time, so that the children can get the most out of the interactive sessions.
This week I read to the children in Scamps Preschool, which meets in the East Worthing Community Centre, Pages Lane, Worthing BN11 2NQ. What a well run and happy place this Pre-school is! The children quickly engaged in the story about Sammy and Susie, and they were all keen to see the pictures and answer my questions. They especially seemed to enjoy joining in with the often repeated sentence, “What Sammy and Susie wanted more than anything, was to learn to swim in the sea.”
Look on my Review Page to see what the Manager of Scamps, Emma Berry had to say about my book.
